Okay so I see now why the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians...it was Joseph's fault....there's that blame again. It's ironic to me that God's people are slaves to Egyptians and Joseph started it.
I love reading the Psalms in the Message version. I love the verbage!!
Sometimes I don't understand the parables that Jesus told. They don't always make sense. I guess that's how the disciples felt to a certain extent.

OK, I'm finally on the same reading as you!! :) My favorite part of today was the Psalms: 1 Listen, friends, to some fatherly advice;

the pride and joy of my mother,4 He would sit me down and drill me:
“Take this to heart. Do what I tell you—live!5 Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding!
Don’t forget one word! Don’t deviate an inch!6 Never walk away from Wisdom—she guards your life;
love her—she keeps her eye on you."
It makes me think of growing up, watching my dad get screwed by corporate America, and vowing never to let my own lifestyle trap me into anything. I know, I seem to have fallen into that right now; but I'm committed to walking the good path again.
